Sydney Harbour
Spent the day messing around the harbour on the Captain Cook Hop on Hop off boat. Lunch at Doyles in Watson's bay. Thomas found yet another playground (lost count now). Wandered around the Rocks area in the evening.

Next stop Sydney
Handed back Campy this morning. We were all a little sad - he has done us proud. Thomas said yesterday he might cry :( Anyway we went to the airport and flew to Sydney (with some 3D glasses in the childrens book) and are now staying in a great apartment on the corner of George St and Bond St called the Mantra.

Last day in Campy
Port Douglas markets in the morning which were infinitely better than Kuranda - tried cane juice! Then drove back to Cairns via Palm Cove. Played at the pool and then had our last dinner in a camp kitchen. Thomas running back from buying an ice-cream tripped over a guy rope and sustained a bloody nose - looked a bit like a horror movie at one point. Ice cream seemed to help.

Agincourt reef
Went out on the Quicksilver boat to Agincourt reef (outer reef) and went snorkelling, Thomas and Anna went in the semi-submersibles and the underwater observatory. Simon went to the same place on his elective 19 years ago!

Boomerangs
Went to an aboriginal cultural centre on the way up to Port Douglas. Had a great time and learnt loads including how to throw a spear and a boomerang. Thomas was painted up as a warrior.

Messing around in Cairns
Pancake breakfast hosted by the campsite followed by a trip into Cairns and a play at their lagoon followed by more playing back at the campsite. Cairns felt very touristy - still havent found our nice arty shops like those at Hotwater beach or Raglan last year. There was even Fire Engine rides around the campsite. We have some good video that we will try and post when our internet link is good enough.

Skyrail and train
Caught the Sky Rail to Kuranda followed by the scenic train back. Sky Rail was brilliant, very high, and we all loved it. Kuranda markets less than average although Thomas managed to acquire a cool robot toy. Train was good on the way back. Pictures of the bouncing pillows at the campsite also included.
